From Steve:
I am Steve Garvin and have trained dogs all of my life. This has allowed me to become, in many aspects, an expert in this area over the years. I believe that to train a dog to be all it can be is an enjoyable art. By working with a particular dog's strengths, much can be accomplished and it can be extremely gratifying.

Some of my accomplishments are: at the age of 7 was an AKC junior handler for breed confirmation shows, had 3 of my own dogs in the Therapy Dogs International program, finished 2 dogs for their breed ring championship, in AKC Open obedience, was on the TOP dog team with Chaos obedience club for TOP dogs in California two years in a row, was the team captain as well as having three dogs of my own on the team for Scent Hurdle Races which were the precursor for flyball, was the number one team in California three years in a row, titled in AKC Agility Excellent and Jumpers and Weavers Excellent, was rated 7th. highest scoring Sheep Herding dog in the United States with a Belgian malinios for AKC Novice sheep herding, Defeating over 350 other dogs, competed in several dog protection sports at the highest level Protection Sports Association 3 and International Police Dog League 3, played in Mondio Ring 3rd level taking us to the worlds competition in Switzerland and Belgium, also, earned a Schutzhund 3, Schutzhund 2 and earned a French Ring 1. All level 3's mentioned are the highest level in each sport.

Currently, I am training my young dog, Etcher, for Schutzhund 2 ,Mondio and French Ring.

From Carol:
I retired from teaching many years ago and raised two great kids.  I enjoy many various activities but nothing compares to being outside  training my dog.  Schutzhund - It's what I do.  I am currently the president of SCSC of which I have been an active member for 12 years.  I got my first competition dog 13 years ago.  I now have an 8 year-old black female GSD.  We completed her IPO 3, was pronounced with Nathaniel Roque and she is recently retired.  I am now searching  for my next working GSD to train and can't wait for all the fun to begin again.
